Thieves Multi-Purpose Wipes | DIY
I made these wipes one day ago and I’m completely obsessed with them. I’ve been wanting to have some handy-dandy little wipes in the bathroom to do a quick counter swipe but didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on organic, much less buy conventional lysol wipes. These are super cost effective, they cost me around $2.50 to make! Of course there was the one time purchase of the jar and label, that was around $15 total. Can’t beat that for plant bases, amazing smelling wipes that actually work! So I collected my supplies and combined ingredients until I felt they were just right. The hardest part is simply gathering the ingredients.
So, here’s what you’ll need for these change-your-life thieves wipes:
Glass container large enough to hold paper-towels
Thieves Cleaner
15 drops Essential oils of choice ( I used Thieves and Purification)
These wipes are so simple to make. You start off by sawing a paper-towel roll in half. I just help up the roll to my jar to measure where to cut. Then I put the paper-towels in the jar cut end down. Does that even make sense? Basically I just didn’t want the ugly cut-up end sticking up for everyone to see. Then I pulled the cardboard roll out of the center of the paper-towels.
Next I filled a pint jar with 1 1/2 cups water and added 1/2 t. Castile soap and 1/2 t. thieves cleaner. I went to my oil shelf and grabbed my oils, purification and thieves. I added 10 drops thieves and 5 drops purification to the pint jar as well and gave it a good mixin’. Then I just dumped my water mixture over the paper-towels. It took a few hours but they absorbed the liquid beautifully. After my liquid was in I reached in the middle of my paper-towel roll and pulled up the paper-towels. You want to make sure to start your roll from the middle not around the edge like you normally do. That way you’ll get the full Lysol wipe experience.
And that’s it folks. Super simple and super handy. And did I mention that they smell amazing? I can already tell these are going to be a big staple in our home!
